When a policyholder submits a quote with a vehicle registration, your system calls the GoodToKnow API. The response returns before your rating engine finalizes its output.
Quote form submission
Policyholder enters registration plate or VIN, declared mileage, and coverage type. Your front-end captures the input and sends it to your rating service.
Parallel verification call
Your rating service calls the GoodToKnow API with the VIN and country code. Verification runs in parallel with your existing data enrichment. Response returns within 500ms at p95.
Signals feed rating engine
Odometer status, incident count, and finance flag feed directly into your rating engine's variable set. Risk score informs loading rules. Flagged signals trigger underwriter review or automatic decline rules as configured.
